In her message, she listed tracks like “Moment 4 Life,” “Did It On ’Em,” “Beez in the Trap,” and “High School,” while also suggesting that much of her debut album, Pink Friday, was written entirely by her. 

The post was direct and unapologetic, emphasizing her role not just as a performer but as a primary creative force behind her music.

Her statement also addressed a long standing debate in the industry, songwriting credits. 

Minaj clarified that additional names attached to her songs often reflect contributions like production, sampling, ad libs, or featured artists, not necessarily the core writing of lyrics and hooks. 

This distinction matters in hip hop, where authenticity and lyrical ownership are deeply valued, and where ghostwriting accusations can impact an artist’s credibility.
