The Barbz, Romanz & Kenz Take Flight: Celebrating 18 Years of SpaceX History 🚀✨Starships Flight 14 Successful Launch!
Today, Nicki, the Barbz, Romanz, and Kenz just returned from one unforgettable virtual field trip: watching SpaceX Starship Flight 14 make history.
On September 28, 2008, SpaceX achieved its first successful orbital launch with Falcon 1 Flight 4 after three previous attempts had failed. That launch demonstrated that a privately developed rocket could reach orbit and marked a defining moment in SpaceX’s early history.
Fast-forward exactly 18 years, and September 28, 2026 became another milestone date.
This time, the vehicle was Starship.
Flight 14 lifted off from Starbase, Texas, and Starship achieved orbit for the first time, crossing a threshold that the program had been working toward through its previous test flights.
The mission also deployed 26 Starlink V3 satellites, giving the flight an operational payload alongside its major flight-test objectives.
For everyone watching our virtual field trip, it was one of those “Wait… we’re really watching history happen” moments.
