Dear Nicki, I want to take today to say THANK YOU for being you. As much as I could try to put into words the many things about you I admire, I think the best thing we can do as #Barbz is be productive and upstanding in society. I take great delight in knowing that when I was listening to you to get through University you kept your motivation consistent. Obtaining a degree wasn’t difficult, but going from a girl to a woman was not very easy. I was adapting but having your words of wisdom kept me in control of MY LIFE. Potentially, unbeknownst to you, you helped propel me to accomplish many things in my life. I recall studying abroad in Paris listening to “Moment 4 Life” getting on the plane, and the entire Pink Friday album as I set out on a journey to find myself during that time. 

As I explored my interest, I always kept your music close and of course my connection with the Most High. I admire you for your fearlessness and ability to remain focused on your goals and actually achieve them. Anytime I’ve ever felt misunderstood or even attacked (Psalm 91 every opp) I know I can listen to your music or pull up a motivational video of you to remind me there are women such as yourself that still get up everyday and do it BIG, ANYWAY (Proverbs 31). I’m not the only #Barb, you have encouraged us ALL to achieve our goals, be mindful about the relationships we get into, and overall stay focused on our own path and calling. We all remain proud of you! Another day another slay! Happy International Women’s Day Queen!
